Frequently Asked
Questions.

GA4 offers marketing channel optimization, improved customer experience, and enhanced business operations.

On July 1, 2023, GA3/UA will stop processing new hits. You will then have access to your historical data for six months before it’s gone forever.
We recommend users adopt Google BigQuery as a data storage solution for historical data exported from GA3/UA once they have made the switch to GA4.

GA3/UA is fast becoming obsolete. Without making the switch to GA4, you will be abandoned when UA stops functioning entirely in 2023. It’s best to make the migration ahead of time, so you can adjust to the new system, and you don’t risk losing valuable data.

The amount of time implementation will take depends on the project. Depending on the complexity of the website, the present Google Analytics setup, and the available resources on the development team, implementation can take an average of 15 to 30 hours, or 1 to 3 weeks. The process may take additional time for developers to implement tracking codes. Contact us for a free consultation to learn more.

GA4 will not have historical data. GA4 uses an events-based model for their data system, while GA3/UA uses a sessions-based model. Users can export and store historical data from GA3/UA with the data storage solution Google BigQuery.
